Various stakeholders in Houston's commercial building sector will convene for a 3-day workshop to diagnose key barriers to energy efficiency and recommend practical action plans for achieving market transformation in Houston. The workshop will be held on October 8-10, 2014, at the offices of Thompson & Knight LLP and Rice University's James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy. Topics to be discussed include:
1) increasing stakeholder value through energy efficiency;
(2) investing and financing energy efficiency in buildings (such as PACE financing);
(3) verifying value and return on investments; and
(4) appropriate policy and regulation.
The workshop is sponsored by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and its partner organization, the United States Business Council for Sustainable Development.
